On July 21, 2025, Stratbase Institute Presidet and CEO Prof. Dindo Manhit met with Dr. Jeffrey Ordaniel, Director of Maritime Programs, Pacific Forum; Commodore Jay Tarriela, Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, Philippine Coast Guard; and Commodore Nelson Timbang, Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Intelligence, Philippine Coast Guard. He was joined by Senior Program and Research Associate Ms. Ana Declaro. 

They discussed the importance of reinforcing inter-agency cooperation and strengthening partnerships with like-minded states to uphold international law in the West Philippine Sea. Central to their exchange was the continued relevance of the 2016 Arbitral Award and the shared commitment to a rules-based order as the foundation for regional peace and stability.
