As part of our continuing celebration of the 2016 Arbitral Award that started on July 11, the Stratbase Institute sponsored a special screening of the Philippine premiere of the award-winning documentary Food Delivery: Fresh from the West Philippine Sea directed by Ms. Baby Ruth Villarama and produced by Voyage Studios. The film captures the experiences of Filipino fisherfolk, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the military against the backdrop of Chinese aggression in Philippine waters.  

Attended by members of the government, international community, academe, private sector, and civil society, the screening highlighted the importance of a whole-of-society approach in defending Philippine sovereignty and upholding our maritime rights.  

The Stratbase Institute affirms its commitment to supporting initiatives and advocacies that amplify the voices of our frontliners in the West Philippine Sea. The Institute remains steadfast in advocating for a rules-based order and the upholding of international law, including UNCLOS and the 2016 Arbitral Award.
