On August 28, 2025, Stratbase Institute President and CEO Prof. Dindo Manhit met with Department of National Defense Assistant Secretary for Defense Technology Research and Industry Development Augusto Gaite. 

They discussed the newly enacted Self-Reliant Defense Posture (SRDP) Program and how to effectively implement it as a catalyst for advancing defense technology, promoting local research and development, and strengthening the Philippines’ defense industry.
