Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) Conference: “Building Resilient Economies Through Market-Driven Investment” 

Stratbase Group Deputy Managing Director Orlando O. Oxales joined global experts in Washington, D.C. for the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) conference on “Building Resilient Economies Through Market-Driven Investment.” He shared the Philippine perspective during the panel discussion on Tools for Transparency & Investment Screening, alongside Mr. Zoran Nechev (Head of the Center for EU Integration at the Institute for Democracy “Societas Civilis” Skopje (North Macedonia)), Mr. Tigran Jrbashyan (Partner and Director for Management Advisory Services at Ameria CJSC (Armenia)), and Mr. Daniel Poveda Torres (Risk and Security Analyst at Colombia Risk Analysis (Colombia)). 

The panel, moderated by Ms. Bessie Chen of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, explored how countries are building investment screening systems and transparency frameworks to counter corrosive capital and align foreign investments with democratic values. 

The conference brought together participants from over 30 countries—uniting policymakers, business leaders, and civil society in a global push to strengthen open, accountable, and resilient market economies.
