Stratbase Institute President and Chairman of the Cybersecurity Committee and member of the Strategic Communications Committee of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC), Prof. Victor Andres “Dindo” Manhit, attended the 4th Quarter AFP MSGC meeting at the General Headquarters Building in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo.  

During the meeting, Prof. Manhit provided updates on the cyber and cognitive domains and their implications for national security. He emphasized that these threats are deeply interconnected and that safeguarding national security requires addressing both. He also presented the Committee’s recommendations to the AFP MSGC, which include adopting a unified cyber defense posture, promoting digital literacy and awareness, fostering a culture of cyber resilience, protecting critical infrastructure, and institutionalizing cyber diplomacy with like-minded states.
