Stratbase Group Chief Operating Officer Mr. RP Manhit was invited to meet with Hon. Bernd Lange, Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade (INTA), and H.E. Massimo Santoro, Ambassador of the EU Delegation to the Philippines, alongside the other members of the European Parliament INTA Delegation. 

During his remarks, Mr. Manhit emphasized how the EU is an economic partner of the Philippines, especially with the ongoing negotiations of the EU-Philippines Free Trade Agreement. He encouraged more investment activities from the EU business community to support the Philippines’ pursuit of an investment-led economic growth that creates quality jobs for the Filipino people. He also spoke of the ongoing cybersecurity challenges the Philippines is facing, especially with ongoing attacks of misinformation and disinformation in the digital space.
