Stratbase Institute Prof. Dindo Manhit was privileged to be invited as a special guest of H.E. Shri Harsh Kumar Jain, Ambassador of India to the Philippines, and the Embassy of India to the Philippines to the India-Philippines Defence Industry Seminar and Exhibition entitled “Sharing Horizons: Promoting Collaborative Opportunities To Foster India-Philippines Defence Cooperation.” 
 
The audience heard from H.E. Jain on the initiatives of India meant to deepen their collaboration with the Philippines on the defense aspect, as well as from other Indian experts, such as Former Director General of the Defence Intelligence Agency of India LTGEN Anil Bhalla (Ret.), on India’s perspectives on the current geopolitical landscape. 
 
From the side of the Philippines, Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff GEN Romeo Brawner Jr. gave his remarks through Chief of AFP Systems Engineering and Modernization Office MGEN Ivan Papera on the modernization efforts of the Armed Forces. Philippine Navy Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea RADM Roy Trinidad also discussed cybersecurity and the dangers of misinformation and disinformation spreading in the digital space.
