ADRi Forum: Mobility in the City

A serious problem affecting the nation’s economy today is its poor infrastructure and transport system. In the recent years, the government has been pushing to improve the Philippines’ transport system through various plans. Efficient transport system will not only enhance economic opportunities but also increase productivity.

In this regard, the ADRi held a roundtable discussion on the Philippine Transport System entitled “Mobility in the City: Planning Manila’s Transit Infrastructure” to examine how to meet Metro Manila’s infrastructure needs to improve transport around the capital.

The invited speakers and discussants were Hon. Andre “Raj” Palacios (Executive Director, PPP Center), Mr. Tetsuya Yamada (Senior Representative, JICA), Mr. Eddie Yap (Chairman, Transportation Committee of the Management Association of the Philippines [MAP]), Mr. Alex Cabanilla
(Former Deputy Chairman, MMDA), Sen. JV Ejercito, Mr. Christian Gonzalez (Head of Asia Pacific, ICTSI), and Mr. Ferdinand Inacay (President and CEO, MRAIL, Inc.).
