ADRi Special Study: “The Role of America’s Alliances in the Philippines’ Balancing Policy on China: From the Aquino to the Duterte Administration”

Stratbase ADR Institute hosted a roundtable discussion on Philippine foreign policy entitled: “The Role of America’s Alliances in the Philippines’ Balancing Policy on China: From the Aquino to the Duterte Administration”, last Friday, March 24.

The roundtable discussion started with the presentation by Renato De Castro, Ph.D., Program Convenor and Trustee of ADRi, of his Special Study with the same title.

Dr. De Castro shared his thoughts on Philippines’ efforts to foster close security ties with the US and its security partners such as Japan, South Korea, and Australia in the face of the Chinese challenge in the South China Sea, as well as the looming issue over Benham Rise.
