Stratbase Institute, together with SIGNAL Group and the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) of the University of Tokyo, organized an Israel-Japan-Philippines Trilateral Dialogue. The dialogue brought together representatives from the three countries to explore shared strategic outlooks and pathways for deeper trilateral cooperation.
Stratbase Institute President and CEO Prof. Dindo Manhit served as moderator for the second session on Maritime and Undersea Critical Infrastructure Resilience, which examined how Israel-Japan-Philippines trilateral cooperation could help secure essential maritime lifelines. The panelists for the session were RADM Rommel Jude Ong (Ret.) (Non-Resident Fellow, Stratbase Institute; Professor of Praxis, Ateneo School of Government), Admiral Yuval Eilon (Ret.) (Senior Visiting Fellow, Institute for National Security Studies), and Ms. Atena Tong (Visiting Researcher, University of Tokyo; Research Associate and Programme Lead, China Strategic Risks Institute).
Dr. Renato de Castro (Trustee and Program Convenor, Stratbase Institute; Professor, De La Salle University) and RADM Roy Trinidad (Ret.) (Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, Armed Forces of the Philippines; former Naval Inspector General, Philippine Navy) also participated in the dialogue as panelists in the other sessions. Dr. de Castro joined the first session on Net Assessment: Strategic, Economic, and Security Outlooks, while RADM Trinidad participated in the third session on the Role of Advanced Technologies in Enhancing Maritime Security and Governance.
