Stratbase Institute President and CEO Prof. Dindo Manhit was invited as a speaker for the visiting delegation from the FDIB (Faculty Development in International Business) program of the University of Colorado Denver at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Makati City. The delegation was joined by American academics teaching finance, international business, and legal management, and was led by Dr. Manny Serapio, Faculty Director of the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER). The delegation was also welcomed by AIM President and Dean Dr. Jikyeong Kang, who also joined the meeting.
Prof. Manhit discussed the evolving dynamics of the Indo-Pacific region and the Philippines’ geostrategic importance within it. He also highlighted the country’s geo-economic opportunities, particularly in terms of investments and the broader business landscape. As the regional environment becomes increasingly complex, he emphasized that the Philippines must think and act more geostrategically—defending its national interests, strengthening cooperation with trusted partners, and standing firm in support of peace, stability, and the rules-based international order
