Stratbase Institute President and CEO Prof. Victor Andres “Dindo” Manhit set the tone for the panel discussion on “The AI Moment: Investing for Opportunity, Managing Risk, and Building Readiness for the Philippines” at the SharePHIL Annual General Membership Meeting held at Dusit Thani Manila.

In his opening presentation, Prof. Manhit discussed how geopolitical developments are shaping the Philippines’ economic and technological opportunities. He highlighted the potential of the Luzon Economic Corridor and Pax Silica to attract investments, strengthen domestic capabilities, and create higher-skilled jobs for Filipinos.

He moderated the discussion and was joined by Engr. Joshua Bingcang (President and CEO of Bases Conversion and Development Authority), Dr. Donald Lim (President of DITO CME), and Prof. Emmanuel Leyco (President and Chief Economist of Credit Rating and Investor Services Philippines). The panel explored investment readiness, meaningful AI adoption, and the policies needed to translate technological advances into greater productivity, better jobs, and opportunities for Filipino businesses and workers.
