Stratbase Institute President and CEO Prof. Dindo Manhit hosted a delegation of ASEAN Fulbright alumni at the Stratbase office for a briefing and discussion on the West Philippine Sea, regional maritime developments, and opportunities for cooperation. 

The delegation, led by Mr. Ryan Ingrassia, Director of Public Diplomacy at the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, is part of the ASEAN Fulbright Maritime Security Initiative. The group brought together experts in maritime security, international relations, and government policy from ASEAN countries, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Cambodia. 

Prof. Manhit was joined by Stratbase Institute Non-Resident Fellows GEN Emmanuel T. Bautista (Ret.) and RADM Rommel Jude G. Ong (Ret.). Together, they shared independent policy perspectives on sovereignty challenges in the South China Sea, the importance of upholding the rules-based international order, and the role of regional cooperation in advancing maritime security and resilience.
